Reading

In our 45 minute whole class reading sessions we will be focusing on the following text: Percy Jackson and the Lightening Thief (Rick Riordan).

A gripping adventure story, which will consolidate the children’s learning from Year 5 about Greek history, it provides the perfect vehicle to practise our word reading skills  and to develop our knowledge of the content domains. 

During the term, the children will be increasing exposed to differing question types to begin their journey towards feeling confident with SATs style questions.
