Caterlink provide safe, inclusive meals for all pupils and follow a national process for supporting children with food allergies, intolerances or medical conditions.

Families who believe their child requires a special diet menu should complete Caterlink’s Online Food Allergy & Intolerance Form, along with medical evidence from an NHS professional.

While your child’s request is being reviewed, Caterlink can provide a safe meal option (jacket potato, baked beans, vegetables and fresh fruit salad, depending on the pupil’s allergies). Please inform the school if you would like this to be provided.

Caterlink’s nutrition team will assess each request using the LACA Special Diet Risk Analysis Process. If it is safe to cater for, a personalised menu with at least one suitable daily option will be created. This may take up to four weeks once all required information has been received.

If your child’s allergies or intolerances change, please request an Updated Request link from the school. If your child becomes allergic or intolerant to additional foods, contact the school immediately so a safe meal can be arranged.
