Week Beginning 7th October 2024
This week we’ve been learning all about Autumn. We talked about what happens in Autumn and what we might see, such as leaves changing colour and falling off the trees and changes in the weather.
We have also been trying very hard to remember the Leigh school rules – Be Ready, Be Responsible, Be Respectful. We have discussed what these words mean and how we should behave to show we understand and can follow the rules. We are all learning to make the right behaviour choices and our teachers are so proud of us!
On Monday we learnt all about Autumn with Mrs Kirk!
Please click on the link to see the PowerPoint we used to learn and talk about the signs of Autumn.
Look what Miss Waterworth has made us! We love singing Nursery rhymes so Miss Waterworth has made us some 'Nursery Rhyme Spoons'! This week we have really enjoyed picking a spoon and singing the Nursery rhyme together. Thank you Miss Waterworth :-)
On Tuesday we had PSHE and PE.
In PSHE we talked about 'kind hands'. We spoke about how we use our hands nicely and we decorated our own 'kind hands'.
In PE we played the 'traffic light game' where we have to stop, walk and run on the signal. We also played the 'animal game' where had to move around the hall like different animals, such as an elephant or a cheetah. Then we used the footballs to pratcise our kicking and throwing.
River and Tallulah have a dance exam on Saturday! They were practising in Nursery and teaching us all the different dances! They are both amazing dancers and we wish them lots of luck in their exams at the weekend!
On Thursday we celebrated 'World Mental Health Day' with the rest of Leigh Academy by wearing something yellow.
