Week Beginning 18th March 2024

This week we’ve been learning all about Easter! We’ve learnt why and how it is celebrated and talked about the Easter Story and how Jesus came back to life so Easter is a celebration of ‘New Life’.

On Wednesday we had our Easter craft morning. We enjoyed doing lots of different Easter activities with our grown ups!

We held an Easter Fundraiser this week to raise money to put towards our school trip this year. There was a cake sale, guess the name of the Easter bunny and guess how many eggs in the jar! Thank you to everyone who support this event :-)

The Easter Bunny sent us a letter telling us he had hidden some Easter treats for us somewhere in school. We had to follow the clues to find the treats! It was great fun!

We made Easter cards for our grown ups. We printed an oval shape using a potato then turned it into an Easter chick by adding feathers, a sponge-printed beak, googly eyes and drawing on some legs!

On Friday we turned Nursery into a cinema and watched The Gruffalo! As a special Easter treat we had hot cross buns for our snack while we watched it!

Miss Haslam felt very spoilt this week. The children made her the most beautiful birthday card and just look at these incredible wedding cards from Nursery and Reception!
