Hello Year 2's,

 

Welcome back to the Spring term.  It has already started off in a very strange way, but I know that if we all try our best we will still make progress towards our goals.

 

New work will be put on the website each day for you to do.  It is based on the work that we would be doing in the classroom at the moment if we could be here.  There will be some new things, but nothing that you can't master with some practice.

 

I shall be answering emails from 2pm - 3pm every day, so send your work in for me to look at and mark.  You will easily see which pieces of work you need to send back and which you don't.  If you do anything extra at home that you have done really well with or have really enjoyed doing, send me a photo.  I would love to see what else you are doing.

Daily Reading

Keep practising those reading skills, making time to do 10 minutes of reading with your adults everyday.

We also have access to a website called Fiction Express. 

Please use this website to read a variety of books (either choose Level 1 or Level 1 lite).  The books are short stories with a quiz at the end of each chapter.  Live books are featured which are written by the authors.  There is also a choice of ‘what happens next’ that children can vote on. 

Everyone has a password and log in to the website.  If you haven’t received this then please let us know and we will send you your child’s information.
