Week Beginning 22nd April 2024
We have had such a busy week in Nursery!
This week some of us (who are going to Reception in September) have started Read, Write Inc! This will help us learn to read and write. Fred the frog helps us with our Phonics and he was very impressed with our super listening and learning!

On Monday, we invited our grown ups into Nursery to join in with Dough Disco! We taught them the different exercises we do to make our fingers strong!
In PE with Mr Price on Tuesday we practised our ball skills. We were rolling, kicking, throwing and catching the balls.
Well done to Julia, Owain and Tallulah for achieving certificates for their brilliant learning in PE last week and this week!
The theme for our 'Prayer Area' this half term is 'Pray for the World'. We talked about children around the world who aren't as lucky as us and thought about how we could ask God to help them. We wrote a prayer together. We came up with all the ideas and words by ourselves and Mrs Drummond wrote them down for us into a prayer.
On Wednesday we played 'Shape Monsters'! We had to name different shapes and feed them to the correct shape monster. We each had a set of shapes and had to show Mrs Drummond which one we thought was the correct shape each time. We were all brilliant at naming the shapes and identifying the correct one to feed the shape monsters!

We went to Forest School with Reception this week, it was so much fun!
We've been making monsters and aliens this week! In this activity we painted paper plates then folded paper to make arms and legs, twisted pipe cleaners around a pencil to create antennae and then chose funny eyes, noses and mouths to complete our aliens and monsters! We haven't all finished yet, we'll put some more pictures up next week and we're hoping to create a display of all our fantastic creations once they're all complete!
