Maths:

L.O: to solve word problems involving addition and subtraction

Today you will be solving word problems using your knowledge of volume and capacity. Make sure you read the questions carefully to decide with operation you need to do -addition or subtraction.

To start with answer your ‘In Focus’ question which is on the first page. As we would normally discuss this with our partners at school, see if there is an adult or older brother or sister to talk to about it. Please use the box on this page record your answer and methods.

Next look at the ‘Guided Practice’ which shows you some of the different style questions. I have left the answers on the worksheet so you can see the setting out and how to go about answering these types of questions. Look carefully at how bar models can be used to support you.

Now it is your turn! Have a go at the ‘Independent Practice’ which is a copy of the worksheet that you would have completed in your MNP workbooks at school.

Copy the French and English phrases in your neatest handwriting, looking carefully at the joins on the sheet. When you have finished see if you can match the phrases together using you knowledge of French colours.

L.O: to see what Muslims believe

Our big question that we are looking at this half term in R.E is what do different people believe about God? For the past few weeks, we have been thinking about Christian beliefs about God.

Today we are going to look at what Muslims believe about God. To learn more about the religion of Islam, we are going to watch an Oak Academy lesson taught by Mr Pedroza. During the video the teacher will give you little quizzes to see if you can remember the key information.

You do not need to do any writing for todays lesson, just listen and see what information you can learn about what Muslims believe. There is a lot of information in the video so don’t worry if you can’t remember it all, this is just to give you an introduction to the religion of Islam.

Wellbeing Afternoon:

At school, we have decided to have Friday afternoon as a relax time. Before you do this, have a look at the past week - are there any lessons you've missed that you could finish off today.

Take some time to relax and enjoy time at home. You may want to do some colouring, jigsaws, play a game, read a book or watch a movie.

I am super proud of everything you have achieved this week and I hope you have a restful weekend.
