Tuesday

Don't forget that tomorrow is bridge building day and you will need to have thought ahead as to which materials you are going to use.  If you are in school in a bubble tomorrow you may bring your own building equipment with you, eg lego or knex etc.

Today is Internet Safety Day,  however I have scheduled this in our timetable for Thursday afternoon so don't worry you won't miss out!

I've uploaded the next part of Cloud Busting to You Tube - the link has been emailed.

Today, please send in Maths and English.

MATHS

Today’s review questions are based on statistics (timetables and graphs) and then fractions.  Watch the two videos I made to remind you how to find common denominators and multiply fractions.  If you need the link again please email me.  Make sure you read the questions carefully before you attempt to answer them.  When you have finished check through your work (just like you would do in school).   Please send your work to me.

READING

The Thought Snatcher – Chapter Two

If you didn’t read chapter one, you will need to do this before starting today’s work.

Today, you will need to read the chapter two of The Thought Snatcher, cast your vote as to what you think will happen next and complete the quiz.  Your task today is to create your own quiz based on today's chapter.  Think of at least four questions with three multiple choice answers.

ENGLISH

LO: to use descriptive language

Today’s task is using the writing skill of show not tell to describe how the shoes come alive.  Watch the video story again, this time focusing on how the shoes come to life.  Remember, when you are using show not tell you don’t use specific language to describe what is happening.  For example, you wouldn’t just write – The shoes came alive because they wiggled.  Think about how they moved – The Little Shoemaker couldn’t believe his eyes as the shoes appeared to wiggle their noses.  Here I have included personification in the shoes by saying their noses wiggled to make them appear as they were coming to life.  My expectation is a paragraph of writing – however you don’t need to include show not tell in every sentence!  Please send your work to me today.

PE

Key Steps – Gymnastics

Mr Ashby’s PE lesson this week is gymnastics.  Follow the key steps which are demonstrated in the attached document.

PSHE

LO: to create a life timeline

Today, Mrs Entwistle wants you to create your own life timeline.  You will need to think about all the achievements that you have experienced so far in your own life.  Choose 10 which you think are the most interesting or significant and then write them on the timeline which Mrs Entwistle has created for you.  To make your life timeline more creative draw pictures and decorate your timeline appropriately.
