Week Beginning 12th June 2023

We’ve started our ‘Under The Sea’ topic this week and have been learning about some of the sea creatures that live in our oceans.

This week we’ve also talked about ‘sharing’, what that means and how we can do good sharing at Nursery.  We have all been trying hard to share and take turns nicely with our friends. Click on the link below to have a look at a PowerPoint we watched and discussed. We also learnt a song called ‘Sharing Is Caring’!

Last week at Forest School some of us were pretending to go on a Pokémon hunt so this week Miss Haslam let us make some Pokémon to take with us! We had lots of fun using our imaginations!

We’re really enjoying learning how to read and write letter sounds in Read Write Inc.  Here are some of us practising them during Busy Learning Time!

We use the story of The Colour Monster all the time to talk about our feelings. It’s one of our favourite books! Mr Odell’s mother-in-law has been really kind and crocheted us our very own Colour Monster to keep in our Calm Corner!

Jack and Olivia have been making their grown-ups very proud! They brought in some Proud Clouds this week and shared with the class what they had done to make their grown-ups happy. Whenever someone brings in a Proud Cloud they get to stand up in front of the class and we give them a big clap!

Something VERY exciting happened to Thomas and his family this week! They have been interviewed by Blue Peter and will be appearing on television next Friday! Thomas earned a Blue Peter badge and he was very proud! Tune in to Blue Peter next Friday to see Thomas and his family making their television debut!

We’ve been practising for Sports Day in PE this week…

We have been trying hard to share and take turns nicely during Busy Learning this week. We’ve been doing some super teamwork too!

It’s been so hot this week! We’ve been talking lots about how to stay safe and healthy when it’s hot and sunny.  On Friday Miss Haslam, Mrs Elford and Mrs Morris treated us to some ice lollies to help us cool down!
