Week Beginning 19th June 2023

This week we have based our learning around the story of ‘The Rainbow Fish’ by Marcus Pfister. The Rainbow Fish learnt that when he was mean to his friends and didn’t share, nobody wanted to play with him but when he was kind and shared his special shiny scales, everyone wanted to be his friend and he didn’t feel lonely anymore! We talked about the story and how it teaches us that if we are kind to others, it makes us happy too!

Click on the link below to read the story of ‘The Rainbow Fish’. There is a YouTube link at the bottom of the page if you’d like to listen to the story too.

We’ve enjoyed making Rainbow Fish this week, look how creative we’ve been (our favourite activity was celery printing!)…

On Tuesday our playground flooded as it rained so much! We decided to make paper boats and test them on our ‘playground lake’! We took some of our water toys out onto the playground too and had lots of fun playing and splashing about in the water!

On Friday we invited parents and carers in to Nursery for our ‘Drop Everything And Read’ (DEAR) event! We chose a story we would like to share with our grown ups and had some special time reading together.

Take a look at some of the other super learning we have been doing this week…
