Phonics

Yellow group-Practice writing the sound ’z’.  Think of 3 words with the ‘z’ sound in e.g. zag, zip. Write these words using your Fred-fingers to help you sound each out- z-a-g - zag. Read the words below-look out for any alien words! Use the link below to practise saying all set 1 sounds.

Maths

This week we continue to work with numbers to 10. Using the word document below, you will see a selection of different 10 frames. Your challenge is to write the number represented on each frame-if you count 6 spots, you should write the number 6. You do not need to print it out, just write your answers on a piece of paper. Please send me a picture or message to let me know how you got on.

PSED

We have been learning about people who help us and have so far explored the roles of doctors and police officers. Have a chat with your grown up and tell them what job you would like to do when you grow up. Will this job involve you helping people? What sorts of things will you need to learn to enable you to do this job? What skills or characteristics will you need e.g. to be a doctor or nurse you need to be caring/to be a builder you need to be fit. Will you need to wear a uniform? Where will you work? Ask your grown up about their job or jobs they might have done in the past.

Write a sentence using this template:

When I grow up, I want to be a ____________

because ______________________________________________________________.
