Maths

Using a 10 frame. Look at the 10 frame below-you can print it out or draw one for yourself. You will need 10 small counters or items that could be used as counters e.g. pennies, buttons or pasta shells. Use the counting scenes PDF below, count the items on each picture and represent this number on your ten frame. If there are 6 flowers in the picture, your 10 frame should look like this:

o o o o o

EAD-Music

Listen to the song ‘We Are Family’ by Sister Sledge, this can be found on You Tube. Describe how the song made you feel. Did you want to dance or sit quietly and relax? Can you clap along to the song? Try making an instrument using items from your home-saucepans and a wooden spoon, empty pot or box with pasta or rice inside, elastic bands stretched over a tissue box. Play the instrument along to some of the songs we know from our music lessons:

Spiderman by Michael Buble

Don’t Go Breaking My Heart by Elton John & Kiki Dee

Boogie Wonderland by Earth, Wind & Fire

Please email me a picture of your instrument.

Literacy

Share the story of The Three Little Pigs. You might have this story at home, if not, there are many versions on YouTube and below is the link to the CBeebies podcast. You can also visit the Oak Academy link below to watch the teacher telling the story, along with a story-map challenge.

The wolf in the story is not very nice and the police are looking for him to tell him to stop scaring little pigs. Make a wanted poster to help the police find him. Draw and label your wolf as this will help the police find the right wolf e.g. sharp teeth, pointed ears. Email me pictures of your posters, I cannot wait to see so them.

Below are some finger puppets to print out if you would like to use them to retell the story. If you do not have a printer, you could try to make your own, take a look at these origami pig puppets using the link below.
