LO: To multiply multiples of 100

In maths today, we are going to be multiplying multiples of 100. This is building on last weeks lessons, so please have a look at those beforehand if you didn't do them!

Have a look at the in-focus question. How do you think you could work it out? As you would usually do this in your pairs, see if you can talk to an adult or an older sibling about your thoughts. Use the empty box to explain your thoughts.

Next, have a look at the guided practice. Can you work out how those answers were gained? Have a go at working them out yourselves to see if your method is correct.

Finally, have a go at the worksheet provided - it is 2 sheets, the minimum expectation is one sheet, but just like in class, try and have a go at the second one too!

Reading

This week, we are going to be reading the book ‘The curious case of Dr Salamander’.

Today, you are going to read chapter 2 and then complete the online quiz. I will be able to see if you have done this activity!

You each have your own log in which I will be sending to your adults to give to you. I will send it via marvellous me – if it doesn’t come through please email me at year4@leigh.covmat.org and I will send it to you there!

English (send in)

LO: To write a description

Yesterday, you wrote some good key words that could be used to describe Dave the Troll.

Today I would like you to write a description on Dave the Troll, using a wide range of adjectives, fronted adverbs, punctuation and paragraphs. Remember you can describe both his personality and how he physically looks! I have written a couple of sentences to show you the sort of thing I would expect. Today you can ask for help off an adult if you need help with spellings or any advice.

Multiplication practice

This week, we are focusing on our 7 times tables! Please have a go at the attached sheet making multiplication wheels. Send them to me once you've had a good go! Try and use them to recite your 7 times tables!

Today we will be continuing to explore British inventions with the invention of the world wide web! Have a look through the following slides and then have a look at the activity. Can you organise the different things into whether they use the world wide web or not? Looking forward to receiving your work!
