Week Beginning 23rd January 2023

This week we have continued learning about People Who Help Us.

We enjoyed doing a ‘People Who Help Us Quiz’ where we had to listen to some clues then try and guess the job of the person being described!

We have been painting pictures of People Who Help Us.  We turned the pictures into a display in our classroom.  Have a look at some of our paintings and some of the things we have been saying about People Who Help Us.

Here we are at the Dough Disco! We love Dough Disco! We do lots of different finger exercises to music using our playdough. This will help make the muscles in our fingers and hands really strong which will help us become brilliant writers!

Developing our gross motor skills on the bikes.

We love counting with Jack Hartmann! In this song we had to count to 10 in different silly voices!

In RE we talked about saying ‘sorry’.  We discussed what sorry means and why we might need to say sorry sometimes. We created ‘sorry strings’ which we have hung up in Nursery.

Each morning we tell Miss Haslam how we got to school using the ‘Travel Tracker’! If we have tried hard to get to school in a healthy way, such as walking, riding our bike or scooter or parking a bit further away and walking into school, we earn a badge a the end of the month!

We have been talking about how to be brilliant learners this week. We’re trying to be creative, think of our own ideas, be independent, try our best and persevere. We’ve learnt that persevering means not giving up, even if we find something tricky.   Here we are displaying some of those qualities in our Busy Learning time!
