Week Beginning 4th March 2024

We've had a great week in Nursery this week and have done lots of super learning!

On Monday we learnt all about plants and how they grow.  We learnt what the different parts of a plant are called such as the roots, stem, leaves and the flower. Click below to find out more...

We created a large scale plant for our classroom display and added labels to show what the different parts are called...

PE with Mr Price on Tuesday. Well done to Skye and Winter who won the PE award this week!

Thursday was World Book Day! Have a look at our fantastic costumes! Some children brought in their favourite books too which we enjoyed reading. Lots of us entered the paper plate competition and created some brilliant book characters! Our theme book was ’Jack and The Beanstalk' and we did lots of activities centred around this over the day, such as making giant beanstalks, going on a magic bean hunt and watching Mr Tumble's retelling of the story. We also made bookmarks and enjoyed reading lots of different books.

We’ve been doing lots of super independent learning during ‘Busy Learning Time’ this week!

This half term our focus author is Sue Hendra. We have been reading lots of her books and have really been enjoying the Supertato stories this week!

On Friday afternoon we had lots of fun playing together on the big playground!

This week we have talked about Mother’s Day and how it’s a special day to say thank you to our Mums for everything they do for us.  We made Mother’s Day cards and talked about why we love our Mums and what makes them special.
