Maths (to send in)

LO: To multiply multiples of 10

In maths today, we are going to be multiplying multiples of 10! Have a look at the in focus question. How do you think you could work it out? As you would usually do this in your pairs, see if you can talk to an adult or an older sibling about your thoughts. Use the empty box to explain your thoughts.

Next, have a look at the guided practice. Can you workout how those answers were gained? Have a go at working them out yourselves to see if your method is correct.

Finally, have a go at the worksheet provided - it is 2 sheets, the minimum expectation is one sheet, but just like in class, try and have a go at the second one too!

Once this is completed, please send it to class4@leigh.covmat.org to be checked by Miss Hinton

Although we are in lockdown, the expectation is for the children to still read 3 times a week for 10 minutes. Below is a link to oxford owl where an account has been created to provide the children with some ebooks.

I have also included some instructions below about how to log in if you face any difficulty.

LO: To answer questions on a text

The children also need to complete some reading comprehension. Below is a reading comprehension on Malorie Blackman. Please read the text and then answer the questions. There are 3 different difficulty options - you can choose how much of a challenge you would like to face!

You can then check if you were correct using the answer sheets provided.

SPAG (send in)

LO: To revise different word classes

In SPAG today we are going to be revising different word classes. Below is a link to a video about word classes. Please watch the video and then write an explanation about what a noun, an adjective, a verb, an adverb and a preposition is and send them to me.

RE (send in)

LO: To answer what the golden rule is

In RE this half term, we’re going to be looking at how religion helps us understand what is right and wrong. We’re starting off today by looking at ‘The golden rule’.

What is the golden rule?

You need to do 3 things:

1. Make a prediction about what the golden rule is.
2. Research ‘What is the golden rule?’
3. Write a paragraph explaining what the golden rule is in your own words.

PSHE

Dreams and Goals

This half term in PSHE the puzzle piece is Dreams and Goals. We will be thinking about what goals we have and how we can achieve them. What goals have we already achieved and how did you do it? Can you help others to achieve their Dreams and Goals ? How can you encourage someone else to keep going to reach their goal?

Look at all the goals you’ve achieved already. Have a discussion with those around you.
