Weeks Beginning 4th January & 9th January 2023

For our first couple of weeks back we have been settling back into Nursery and welcoming the new children. We have been talking about what we did over the Christmas holidays and telling our friends about our favourite presents!  We have been teaching the new children our Nursery rules and routines and helping them explore the inside and outside environment.

This term our Topic is ‘People Who Help Us’.  We have been doing some fantastic thinking and talking about this.

During this carpet time we were learning about different people who help us and what they do in their jobs.  We listened beautifully and shared our thoughts and ideas.

We have been thinking about how to be kind friends and what being kind means. During Circle Time we played a game where we had to roll the ball to somebody and say something kind to them.  Afterwards, we talked about how it feels when somebody says something kind to us.

This week we listened to the story of Noah’s Ark.  We learnt that this is a story from the Bible and the Bible is a very special and important book for Christians.

We enjoyed playing with our wooden Noah’s ark and using it to retell the story.

Thomas and Aoife built their own Ark using wooden blocks!

The theme for our RE corridor display this term is "Were there dinosaurs on the ark?" so we had a think about this question and shared our ideas.

Busy Learning!
