Maths:

L.O: to add pounds and pence without renaming

Today we will be adding up different amounts of money to find the total prices. You should use column addition and subtraction to help you, add the pounds in one column and the pence separately in another.

To start with answer your ‘In Focus’ question which is on the first page. As we would normally discuss this with our partners at school, see if there is an adult or older brother or sister to talk to about it. Please use the box on this page record your answer and methods.

Next look at the ‘Guided Practice’ which shows you some of the different style questions. I have left the answers on the worksheet so you can see the setting out and how to go about answering these types of questions.

Now it is your turn! Have a go at the ‘Independent Practice’ which is a copy of the worksheet that you would have completed in your MNP workbooks at school.

If you feel up for it, have a go at the challenge! Good luck!

Please could you email this piece of work to me.

Handwriting:

L.O: to form letters

Think carefully about how to form the letter ‘r’. Practise writing the rr double letters in the words and sentences on the worksheet. After, make up your own sentences containing some of the words.

Please could you email this piece of work to me.

RE:

L.O: to see what Muslims believe about the Holy Quran

Think back to last lesson where you watched a video about the religion of Islam and what Muslims believe. Today we will be thinking about the Muslims holy book called the Quran.

Go through the PowerPoint slides and watch the video to find out more information about the Quran. For your task today you need to answer the questions on the R.E worksheet.

Wellbeing Afternoon:

At school, we have decided to have Friday afternoon as a relax time. Before you do this, have a look at the past week - are there any lessons you've missed that you could finish off today.

Take some time to relax and enjoy time at home. You may want to do some colouring, jigsaws, play a game, read a book or watch a movie.

I am super proud of everything you have achieved this week and I hope you have a restful weekend.
