Week Beginning 1st May 2023
This week we have continued our learning about ‘Habitats’, focussing on animals that live in the jungle.
We have also been learning about the King and how we will be celebrating his Coronation this weekend!
We learnt about different jungle animals and thought about how they move. We then had to try moving like each animal. We loved being sloths the best!
In this activity we had to sort the animals into the correct habitats.
Here we had to cut and stick jungle and ocean animals into the right habitat.
We’ve enjoyed doing some jungle animal crafts this week, including making paper chain snakes and using forks to print lion manes!
We had to follow the lines from the jungle animals to create different patterns. This activity develops our fine motor skills and pencil control.

On Friday we dressed in red, white and blue and did lots of fun Coronation-themed activities, including making flags, crowns and sandwiches for our Coronation tea party!
We also enjoyed reading some books about the King, our favourite was ‘The King’s Pants’!
