Week Beginning 7th November 2022
This week we have been learning about Remembrance Day. We joined in with the 2 minutes silence and thought about all the brave soldiers that have fought for our country and helped to keep us safe. We made poppies to wear on our jumpers, painted pictures of poppies, created poppies out of playdough and carefully finger-painted some poppies too.
On Friday 11th November we observed the 2 minutes silence. We watched a special animated film while we thought about the soldiers. We all stayed silent and were respectful.

We had lots of fun making firework biscuits on Monday!
We told our teachers about all the fireworks we had seen and heard over the weekend!

We’ve had great fun on the big playground with the bikes and scooters this week. Our teachers couldn’t believe how quickly our skills developed! Some of us were a little unsure at first but by the end of the session we were zooming around the playground!
Each day we say a morning, lunchtime and home time prayer. This week we talked about how praying is our way of talking to God. We might ask Him for help through prayer, we might say thank you or sometimes we might pray to God to say sorry.
