LO:  To find the volume of cubes and cuboids.

Make sure you have the You Tube video that goes over the ‘In Focus’, but also the ‘Guided Practice’ and the worksheet if needed.  SHOW WORKINGS throughout!

Task:

1. Go through the ‘In Focus’ task with me on the video.
2. Complete the ‘Guided Practice’ – write the answers on the Word document.
3. Worksheet.  Complete – all questions.

Extension: Complete the challenge question.

LO: Understand that area is a measure of surface and is measured in square units (Part 2).

In this lesson you will look at the difference between perimeter and area and learn a strategy for calculating area.

1. Complete the ‘Intro Quiz’.
2. Work through the main learning.
3. Complete the task by calculating the numbered sections on the floor plan on the worksheet.  Put the information into the table.

World Book Day Activity:  Masked Reader

Load up the PowerPoint (I've snet this in the email this morning, as it's filesize is too large to upload to the website) and click on ‘Slideshow’ then ‘From Beginning’.  Play along with the game: The Masked Reader, which is all the rage this year: I wonder why?  Can you guess each of the celebrities and their books?

Extension:  Write three clues for a celebrity of your choice and a book for me to guess who they are and which book – can you catch me out?
