Yellow group-SENTENCE WRITING Practise writing the sound ’qu’, check you have written it the right way round. Write a sentence using a word with the ‘qu’ sound in e.g. ‘The quilt is on my bed’. Use your Fred-fingers to help you sound out your words and make sure you have a finger space between each word. Read the words below-look out for any alien words! Doubling ladybirds. Open the PDF below to copy the ladybirds or butterflies onto paper. Your challenge is to double the number of spots. Remember, doubling means the same again. If there are 4 spots on one wing, you must draw 4 spots on the other. Count all the spots to work out that double 4 = 8.

World Book Day
Follow the link emailed today to enjoy a story read by Miss Hinton.
Build a story den in your home or garden, somewhere cosy for you to enjoy your favourite books. You could use sheets, cushions or even your duvet to make your den. Email a picture of your finished den. SEND IN
Make one of your favourite story characters using items from around your home. You could decorate a potato or a hard boiled egg. You might have an old wooden spoon you no longer need and you could draw your character's face on it. Using a sock, you might choose to make a puppet of your character. You can do this any way you wish. Please email photos as there will be a prize for the most impressive in each year group! SEND IN
