Grammar

Synonyms and antonyms

These are things that we use every day when we are speaking and writing, but probably have never heard their proper names before.  So let’s find out about them …

Please complete the activity attached and return it to me so I can see if we need to do more work on it.

Times Table Rock Stars

Everyone in the school has access to this maths program which supports children to improve their times table knowledge.  Some of you might already know it because of having older children in school.

All your children have been given a login and password.  You should find it in the front of their reading diaries.  If you do not know it then please email mail me and I will send it back to you.

The website is https://play.ttrockstars.com

I have focused the children on certain times tables and will gradually change these over the next half term.

Regular and speedy practice of times tables will help them in all areas of their maths learning.

Daily Reading

Although we are not able to change your books at school every day, you do need to practice your reading skills.  Make time to do 10 minutes of reading with your adults before the end of the day.  I am sure you have plenty of books on your bookshelves.  Let me know if you read any really exciting ones that you think I might like!!
