Maths

Today we are comparing quantities in different ways and using Maths language to describe what we see. Open the PDF below to see a selection of pictures. Talk together to decide which item shown is the most or least, has more or fewer. Count the items, which number is the biggest or smallest. Look at the items, are there any similarities e.g. both are red. What are the differences e.g. is one item bigger than the other. Can you count all the items separately and write your answer and then count them all up together and write your answer e.g. 6 pears and 7 apples, all together makes 13, 6 + 7 = 13. SEND IN

PSHE

Last week you drew a picture of the job you want to do when you grow up and described why. This could be described as your hope, dream or goal for the future. It can be difficult to achieve our hopes and dreams without help from others. This week I would like you to think about how you could help a friend to achieve their goal. They might want to be a dancer; you could help them to practise their dance moves. They might want to be an author; you could help them to practise their phonics. They might dream of being an actor, you could help by making up and playing imaginative games together. Please make a poster showing how you are helping someone. SEND IN

PE

This is one of our favourite games in PE, try playing it with your grown up. Bean game- Grown up calls out a bean and children must do the action for that bean:

Jumping bean = jumping on the spot

String bean = stand and stretch tall

Broad bean = make a star shape

Runner bean = run on spot

French bean = say “ooh la la”.

Jelly bean = wobble like jelly

Beans on toast = lying down on floor

Baked bean = curl up in a tuck position

Mexican bean = say “Arriba”.

If you are still feeling fit, try some Jack Hartmann action songs by following the link below.
