Maths:

L.O: to write capacity in l and ml

Today you will again be measuring capacity in l and ml. Make sure you look carefully at the scales on the measuring beakers as these may be different from question to question. First look at how many litres there are altogether and then move onto reading the millilitres.

To start with answer your ‘In Focus’ question which is on the first page. As we would normally discuss this with our partners at school, see if there is an adult or older brother or sister to talk to about it. Please use the box on this page record your answer and methods.

Next look at the ‘Guided Practice’ which shows you some of the different style questions. I have left the answers on the worksheet so you can see the setting out and how to go about answering these types of questions.

Now it is your turn! Have a go at the ‘Independent Practice’ which is a copy of the worksheet that you would have completed in your MNP workbooks at school.

If you feel up for it, have a go at the challenge! Good luck!

Please could you email this piece of work to me.

English:

L.O: to write a sci-fi story (day two)

We have now come to the end of our topic of sci-fi stories so today you will have another day to complete your Independent Extended Write. If you need more details about this, please look at yesterday’s explanation. Remember this is independent so you can discuss your ideas with an adult, but your writing should be done yourself. I have included a check list below to help you.

Please could you email this piece of work to me.

Spelling:

L.O: to use suffixes for plurals

For spelling today we will be joining a new teacher on Oak Academy, Ms Morgan. As normal, she first goes through some important key vocabulary and sounds. Ms Morgan will then show you the different rules for turning nouns in plurals. During the video you will need to pause when asked to complete the mini tasks.

Towards the end of the video are some words with these suffixes in, it is useful to watch if you have time.

Please could you email this piece of work to me.
