Story time – check your email for Chapter 21's code

Today you need to return your Maths, English and a photograph of your finished Arctic landscape.

Maths

Miss Thomas’s group – We now need to complete the review for chapter 8.  This is based on everything that you have been doing about Pictograms.  You can let your adults read the question to you, but you must have a go at the questions yourself.

Mrs Malone’s group – work through the ‘learn’ sheet and then answer the questions on the worksheet.

English

Miss Thomas’s group – Follow the English learning and instructions and then complete the tasks.  When doing the written task, you can either print out the sheet to work on or you can write your answers on your own sheet of paper.  If you are using plain paper, ask an adult to draw you some straight lines for your writing.  It will help you to keep everything neat and tidy.

Mrs Malone’s group – read through the instructions and then complete the tasks.

Theme - Let's go to the Arctic

This is the next geography lesson from the Oak Academy website and it is looking for similarities instead between Alaska and Cornwall.

  1. Click on the link below

  2. Click on start lesson.  This lesson starts with a quiz.  It doesn’t matter if you don’t know the answers as it is just seeing what you do or do not know.  After watching the video, complete the ‘ending’ quiz.  Be ready to stop and start the video when you have to do the tasks.

Art

The final week – how have you got on with your landscape?  Have you added in all the key features that we have been talking about throughout this half term?  Is there anything that you have left out that you feel needs to go in your picture?  This is your last chance to finish your landscape.  Although I don’t know when we are going to be back in school yet, it would be lovely to have some of these landscapes in school when we do get back in.

Daily Reading

Although we are not able to change your books at school every day, you do need to practice your reading skills.  Make time to do 10 minutes of reading with your adults before the end of the day.  I am sure you have plenty of books on your bookshelves.  Let me know if you read any really exciting ones that you think I might like!!
