Week Beginning 22nd January 2024
We have had such a busy week in Nursery this week!
On Monday we had our first 'Drop Everything And Read' session of this term, along with the rest of Leigh school. Parents were invited to come in to Nursery to read a book with their child or listen to a story read by Miss Haslam.
In PE on Tuesday we were balancing cones on different parts of our bodies and thinking of ways we could move the cones with different body parts. We tried using our elbows, noses, tummies, shoulders and feet!
Well done to Nina and Kira who won the PE award for this week!
This week we listened to the story of Noah’s Ark. We learnt that this is a story from the Bible and the Bible is a very special and important book for Christians.
We enjoyed playing with our wooden Noah’s ark and using it to retell the story.
We did a quiz all about animals on Thursday! We had to listen carefully to the clues and guess what animal was being described.
The new children have settled really well into Nursery life and are starting to learn our rules and routines. We have been teaching them how to share and take turns and we have all been trying hard to be kind friends to each other. Look at all the lovely playing and learning we have been doing together this week during 'Busy Learning Time'...
